For those of you who love Downton Abbey like I do can’t wait to see what happens next. But will there be another season? The answer to that question is YES!!!! Season 3 will being in Sept. 2012. It’s hard to write about the show without giving anything away because I know people are waiting to see both seasons. If you’re like me than you’ll want to read this article that gives a sneak peek into Season 3. If you liked Cranford, Upstairs Downstairs, or any BBC movie…you will enjoy this show! For those of you waiting to see it, you should have plenty of time to watch the previous seasons before this comes out. Enjoy!

Some of his rules include: “use technology, don’t let it use you”; “take the high road” and, my personal favorite, “never underestimate karma.” Tim Gunn is witty, articulate, thoughtful and down-to-earth in his words. This is fascinating and often, entertaining read.

bestselling mystery starring Rizzoli and Isles has been quite popular. The TV series, Rizzoli & Isles, based on Tess Gerritsen’s series, debuted on Monday night on TNT. It ranked as “the most watched ad-supported cable series launch of all time”…
Jane Rizzoli is a homicide detective and Maura Iles is a Boston medical examiner. With careers such as these they are thrown together and have managed to solve quite a few mysteries.(There are 8 in the series.) The most recent is Ice Cold and is a fast paced thriller with amazing plotting. Stop in and find one in the series or watch it on TV.
We all have our favorites…I love Agatha Christie’s, Hercule Poirot series, in books, but especially on TV with David Suchet. Now in an interesting twist a television show, ABC’s TV show “Castle” has generated a novel. The premise of the show is that fictionalized novelist Richard Castle works with the police department to “help” them solve crimes. Now he not only “solves’ crimes on TV, but is “writing” novels for the “real world.” In Heat Wave, tough and sexy New York police detective Nikki Heat leads the investigation into the death of a New York real estate tycoon who plunged to his death on a Manhattan sidewalk. This has become incredibly popular with our patrons. But then again we do have the Mr. Monk books….
Do you know that WNPL has T.V. shows for check out? I have recently become obsessed (no pun intended) with the T.V. show MONK. While I have seen some early episodes I have not followed the show in a while. But we have the whole series at WNPL; so I won’t miss one episode! The T.V. shows that WNPL own are mostly found on cable, but if you can’t find something, we can always interlibrary loan them for you. Come on in and check out our collections. (Amy)
