I was fortunate enough to sit in on a talk that author Michael Connelly gave at the American Library Association conference this past weekend. You can find so much about an author and so many things about the background of the books when you go to author talks. He is best known for creating the character Harry Bosch who is named after a 15th century Dutch painter named Hieronymus Bosch. Connelly usually sets his story in L.A., and 9 dragons is no different. Although Bosch does have to go to Hong Kong for some of the book it begins and ends in L.A. 9 dragons will be out in October 2009 but you can place it on hold in our catalog today!
